Problems dualbooting Win2000 and QNXRTP 6.0

Hi,

Ive been using QNXRTP 5.0 with a startdisk (windowsbased in a file)
for some months now without problems. (I had to use a floppy after
switching from Win98 to WinME, because there is no config.sys there
anymore).

The reason for not installing it to a real partition was, that i
own only scsi-CDRoms and RTP 5.0 doesn’t detect any scsi-devices
while installing; lateron i was able to mount the cdrom and access
files on it.

With RTP 6.0 this has changed, so i gave it another try. It
installs flawless from CD and into a real partition (this must not
be a logical one, btw.)
I have a ncr-controller (symbios) and all scsi-devices are detected
correctly. I install lots of packages from the cd and from the net,
i shutdown the pc and restart and even switch it off completely
a dozen times or so and everything seems to work fine.

Now for the problem :
I have 6 different OS on my system using the WinNT/2000-Bootmanager
to switch between them. These are : QNXRTP 6.0, Debian-Linux,
SuSE-Linux, BeOS 5.0, Windows ME and finally Windows 2000

After lots of testing i can say that QNX runs fine as long as i
never boot into Win2000 after QNX-Install. (I can boot into all
other OS without problems). After booting Windows 2000 one time
i get the following problem in QNX afterwards (til the next
installation of QNX) :

System starts up, the graphical login shows up saying “waiting for
input drivers”, then everything goes black and im back to console.
Logging in and saying “ph” i get other errors but the same effect :
photon doesn’t start :frowning:

I have a matrox g400 which is detected at installation time and is
working great as long as im not booting into win2000.
I even tried to use vesa-display without any change.

Anyone with that kind of setup out there. I dont get it : does
win2000 really something to the QNX-Partition (i doubt it can
even read from it) and why does everything beside photon work
perfectly even after booting into Win2000 ?

Bye…
Michael

Sounds like a video initialization problem.
