QNX6 won't be installed on a 486...

Hi…
I got an problem when I try to install QNX it boots with the boot disk but
after 10secs it’s aborts all loading of drivers because it can’t find any
PCI bios.
Then the set up continues (without loading the other drivers) and jumps the
Lincense Agreement and then I select an empty partition to install QNX on.
After that it shuts down all drivers and tries to restart them now it cant
mount the cd-rom so the installation aborts…
Can someone help me so I can start/install QNX on my 486 please make an
custom boot disk for me i’m not handy on that stuff… :frowning:

Hi Daniel,

Try downloading patch B, there should be a new diskboot that doesn’t require
a PCI bus on the system.

Erick.

OK, I’m confused. Patch B is only available via the Package Manager of a
running RTP system. How do we get it to fix a failed installation?

I remember that I had a similar problem because qrtp wants a pci-bios version 2.

Do you have an error message talking about a pci-server or something like that.
If yes, I’m afraid that you have to look for a motherboard which provides a
newer bios if you cannot upgrade yours :astonished:(
