This sounds like a dumb question to me, and I’m the one asking it.
However…
What does the package manager do, exactly?
Example. As a test, I installed the Doom package. It downloaded and
uncompressed the package, ran the scripts, worked fine, says it’s
installed under ‘View my software’.
But where is it?
I can’t find it anywhere on the drive. The only files named ‘doom’ are
under /pkgs.
Ditto for the Photon games package. After installing, there is no
/usr/games directory. It appears from the FILES file that it should be
there, but nothing appears.
Is there some step I’m missing?
Regards
