I’ve tried RTP on my Compaq Armada 1500C laptop. Pre-release CD-rom
(OEM release 08 00) installation was ok, but it failed with videocard,
and Photon ended to blank screen. Then I didn’t have much time, so I
deleted installation.
No tried again, with qnxrtp.iso and qnxrtp.exe. Installation goes
fine. But after boot, with debug boot options, I can’t get system
running. For the first boot, after ‘Generating helviewer search
database’ nothing happens. No HD activity, nothing. I’ve waited
for 1/2 hour. Not even C-A-D salute works.
After power-off, restarted and boot with debug & ‘start debug shell’
Get, shell, exit it, got next shell after starting fs-pkg. Exit it
also. Then:
Starting /bin/sh /etc/system/sysinit
BOOTSRC=disk
SAFEMODE=
VERBOSE=1
ROOTDEV=/fs/hd0-dos/program files/qnx/boot/fs/root.qfs
NO_ETC=
And after it, nothing. One more try, with no dma, F1-F6 options
selected. It boots. Wow.
Any ideas what’s the problem? I have lot of unix+qnx4 experience, but
in case of RTP I might need some idea where to start searching for
problem.
