Messages at boot time

Hi,

the following messages are printed when booting QNX6 on a MAXDATA
notebook computer PRO180X with 650MHz Pentium III processor, 128MB
RAM and 20GB IDE harddisk:

Press Esc for alternate OS…

Press the space bar to input boot options…
Range check failed (MEM) - Dev 10 - Vend 1073 - Class 40100 - Addr fc018000

  • Size 8000
    Alloc failed fc010000 - Size 8000
    Range check failed (MEM) - Dev 2000 - Vend 1022 - Class 20000 - Addr fc018000
  • Size 20
    Range check failed (MEM) - Dev 475 - Vend 1180 - Class 60700 - Addr ffeff000

    Detected EIDE. Scanning for devices.
    […]

What might be the reason? Apart of these messages QNX6 works fine.

Best regards
Jochen

Non-QNX reply

If the PCI devices associated with the messages work, they are just warnings
(pci - and match up Device & Vendor) or bios mis-configurations

Or devices for which there is no driver

try warm boots from another OS -vs- cold

In patch B they are pushed to slogger (sloginfo)

Warm boots as well as cold boots work for QNX4, Linux, and Windows-NT
without any problems!

I would prefer to eliminate the reason of message output …

Thanks
Jochen
