Matrox G450, IIyama, DVD player... installation problems

Hi All,

I have the following questions:

  1. During installation on my AMD Duron 850 Mhz System with a Chaintech 7AJA
    mainboard I had problems installing form the AOPEN DVD player. My system
    perfectly booted from the DVD player and detected also my PLEXTOR rewriter.
    After remounting (this is done by the installation tool) QNX doesn’t
    accept/wants to install using the DVD player. When I startup with a second
    CD in the PLEXTOR, Istallation is going OK when I choose to install using
    the PLEXTOR. Can somebody tell me what is going on or what I did wrong?

  2. I have a Matrox G450 video card in my PC and I’m using a 19" IIyama MT900
    monitor. Using the Matrox video driver doesn’t work, the display looks like
    a fishbowl full of water or my monitor returns a error concerning the
    refresh rate. When I use the VESA driver, I don’t have any problems, only
    the fact that I’m not satisfied with the resolution (1024x768). Is there
    anybody who can help me getting the Matrox driver to work.

  3. When I use the CD repository, it doesn’t accept the AOPEN DVD player as a
    CDROM player, does somebody has a fix.

  4. I can’t use my serial ports cause they are not detected by QNX. Has this
    anything to do with the VIA Appolo 133 chipset???

Just for the record, here is my hardware:
AMD Durnon 850Mhz
256 Mb RAM
Chaintech 7AJA mainboard
40G hard drive
AOPEN DVD player
PLEXTOR 12/10/32A rewriter

Hi Freddy,

The currently released Matrox driver does not support the G450 - support has
been added for the next beta release.
