Mouse problems

After upgrading to 6.1, I’ve found that my PS-2 Logitech wireless mouse
(which used to work under 6.0) no longer works. I’ve seen the “disable
legascy USB” note in QDN for the BIOS, but my BIOS has no such option
(it’s a Tyan Trinity board). Any other suggestions would be
appreciated!

Thanks
Robert Craig.

I have a similar problem with ps-2 mouse on my laptop. However,
disconnecting and re-connecting the mouse brings it back to life.
This happens only after upgrading to 6.1.

Thanks.
Best regards.

It sounds like the legacy problem. The devi-hirun driver had a change
made to it that resets the PS2 port when “corrupted” data is received.
This corrupted data is caused by the legacy USB setup in the bios.

Off the top of my head I can’t think of a workaround, however I
will see what I can find out.

Erick.

No luck for me. Looks like I’ll have to wait for a magic bullet from
someone.
Thanks for the info

I am having exactly the same problem on a Compaq Prolinea 5133. legacy USB
Disable does not apply either as old Bios. I tried to disconnect the mouse
w/o any success. I’m stuck

Thanks for any info - Serge

Save some room for me on this boat. Worked with 6.0, but not with 6.1
regardless of USB legacy setting.

Could you please also answer to the questions from my mail to shamad’s
request (Mouse not recognized since 6.1)?
In addition: couple of words about your computer?
