Getting on

Is there a bug in 6.1 that prevents me dialing in? If I re-download it is it
corrected? I seem to see others having the same problem.

I’ve send email to someone reported dialer problem with
MSN, not sure if that works arround the problem (he didn’t
get back to me yet), anyway, I am goint to post it here,
see if this could help you. (I assumeing you have the 6.1)

  1. you want to be “root”
  2. mkdir /etc/ppp
  3. vi /etc/ppp/options
  4. add online saying “receive-all”
  5. save the file
  6. re-try the phdialer.

If this still didn’t work for you. Would you please run phdialer
with “-d”, and send me the log in the “terminal windows”?

Looking for me?
Adding that string, AND having Pdial connect in Interactive mode have
temporarily solved the problem… Though dialing in interactively isnt all
that much different… I enter the same userid and password information…

You might wanna try connecting in Interactive mode…
