QNX 6.1.0 : packager PROBLEM

Hi guys,
I have the same problem. With Patch ‘C’ everything was O.K.
Now I also installed QNX 6.1.0, rebooted successfuly and… no possible
to get connection with the repository just like Stephen.
I am also in rush and need help. At least tell me how to get back to the
oldest version!!!

Hi,

You can remove the update through the package installer.
Click on ‘view my software’ then ‘All Repositories’.

Select the 6.1 update package, then press ‘Deactivate’, ‘Remove’ and then ‘Apply’.

Regards,

Joe

Hi Joe,
I have done it but result is even worst!
Now I can not boot into neutrino.
I receive the message “Unable to locate devc_con”.
Wow !!!
It seems I have to find CD with old patch C. Is it possible to download it from www
repository?
Fortunately I saved all my work into the partition of our good friend QNX 4.25.

Hi Joe
I found CD with version from January and have installed.
After that I pointed the package manager to the URL you said, but received following
message :

the repository
http://staff.qnx.com/~jmammone/repository contains
files that have errors

I clicked to view more about the error and there is a message :

Error while parsing :
/root//.ph/pkg_mgr/repository/entry3/repository.qrm
syntax error at line 1

Now what the … is going on ???

Actually there could not be /root//.ph directory, there is /root/.ph directory, where I
found that file, but there is nothing inside !?!?!?

Please help me !

Regards !

Hi,

That error message occurs if the location of the repository is invalid or the repository.qrm file is not present.
I have verified that the repository.qrm file is present (and have made some updates). Please
double check the the URL and try again:

http://staff.qnx.com/~jmammone/repository

Note: If you are using the January CD you will have to install Patch B first.
I have added this package to my repository.

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks Joe !!!
This time everything is fine.
I managed to get both packages .
The problem was also on my site. I am running behind the firewall.
When I start Voyager it appears dialog for proxy authentication, after I give my data Voyager runs. With the packager
there is another situation. It does not start such dialog, so I entered manualy my proxy data ( userId and password)
from Edit->Preferencies menu and I got connection. Easy is not it??
One more time Thank you Joe !!!
