QNX 6.1: Bad ISO image?

Hello,

I’ve downloaded qnxrtp.iso and burned a CD – so far, so good.

However, when I insert the CD in my computer (running Windows 98SE)
it takes noticeably longer than usual for anything to appear on the
screen.

I can view the README file and browse the CD, but if I try to actually
install QNX, nothing seems to happen. Still, shutting down Windows
reveals that Setup, or _ds111 (or some process with a similar name) is
not responding. Worse yet, the system totally freezes at times and I
have to hit the reset button. Could it be because of bad ISO image,
a badly made CD, or something else altogether?

My computer is a Duron 850MHZ, 256 MB RAM, 10GB + 30GB, CD-ROM and it’s
been working great (so far) for FreeBSD, Linux, and the odd PC game.

Thanks in advance,

Werther Pirani

I had the same problem with the ISO image I downloaded. I installed
http://www.undisker.com which showed me that the image I had was corrupted.
I am now downloading the 6.1 Image again and will check it with Undisker
before writing to to a cd.

Suggestion: Can QSSL please pack the iso with ZIP or RAR and divide it up in,
say, 20 MB parts for easier and safer download!?
