Windows ME

Hi, I have installed QNX 6.0.1 as a file on my normal single partition
windows ME system. Since winME doesn’t use the config.sys, it won’t dual
boot, forcing me to use a floppy to boot QNX everytime… Is there a way
around this using a freeware loader? (keeping in mind this isn’t on a
separate partition, but a file on my windows partition)

Hi Dave,

NT OS Loader can be used as work around of your problem. But I’m not sure
it is a freeware. You will able to boot w/o floppy if you put the image of
floppy’s boot sector (and point to it in a boot.ini) and all files from
floppy on the your partition. The main idea is as follow: the loader must
use the file-image of boot sector. Maybe, anybody else knows freeware
loader that does not try to load partition’s boot sector, but loads boot
code from a specified file?

Regards,
Eduard.
