I downloaded the 6.1.0 ISO and cut a CD yesterday. It looks like everything
on my Gateway E1000 box is detected and working, except the audio.
I actually installed Win98, just so I could get a look at what it detected
on board. The audio is on the motherboard and is detected by Windows as PnP
CS4236B and loads the following hardware drivers:
Crystal PnP Audio MPU-401 Compatible (irq=9, io=0330-0331)
Crystal PnP Audio System Control Registers (io=0120-127)
Crystal PnP Audio System Codec (dma=1,3, irq=5,
io=0534-0537,0388-038b,0220-022f)
I checked the supported hardware list for RTP 6.1.0, and of course it
supports CS4280, CS4281, CS4610, CS4612, CS4614, and CS4615 with the
deva-ctrl-cs46xx.so driver.
I also noticed that there are developer libraries in the CD install
repository for a variety of platforms. So, where do I look next to try and
get this running? Can I build my own driver?
Thanks,
JJC
