I can’t seem to get QNX to run on my machine by itself. Could I do this…
Install a minimal copy of Win98SE on a new partition, get that workin, then
install QNX on that partition. Then, set the config.sys to goto qnx by
deault everytime?

That’s my problem, I’m on a Promise ATA 100 controller.
I thought if you installed it under Win98 it would know where to look since
it’s all one file on that HD. No?
Yes, in some odd cases that may help, but only as long as your HD
controller
is supported.

According to Chris McKillop’s article (http://qdn.qnx.com/articles/jan1901/boot.html) loadqnx.sys
uses I/O services provided by DOS.
So, I guess you have a chance to boot QNX. But you will not have access to hard drive under
/fs/hd0-dos and automount may be a cause for troubles…

Windows partition or not, QNX still needs to access hard drive and it
currently can’t (with Promise controllers) unless you somehow coerse it
into non-DMA mode. Wait for next update, i think Promise will be
supported then.
