Hi,
Been looking for quite a while for an x86 motherboard that 6.1.0
will run on with integrated ethernet, audio, video, and at least 2 ISA
slots. Anyone know of a board that has all this and is compatible with
6.1.0? Any help is much appreciated!

Hi Max,

I don’t know of a board, however check the supported hardware site
for a list of supported hardware. I have a feeling it will be hard
to find a board with the 2 ISA slots though.

If your budget allows, you might look into “industrial” PC chassis. I

am using an Advantech system with several ISA and PCI slots in the
backplane. The motherboard has Ethernet (Intel 82559 chip set I
think), video, and a com port which runs a 2-into-1 keyboard and
mouse connection. No audio. It’s not small nor cheap but offers a
lot of flexibility. Additional cheap boards could supply more serial
ports, etc.

Well, mine DID work great under 6.0.x, but now doesn’t even seem to
boot off the CD in 6.1.0, or even installing 6.0.x, then upgrading to 6.1.0

FYI, in case it starts working again “automagically”, it’s the RioWorks
PDVIA/LS, Sual SLot-1, built-in LAN/2x SCSI, but no video (I don’t
believe in built-in video), 1 AGP/6 PCI slots. Was $95 from Ubid

Blazes under WIn2000 with 2x 733’s/512MB RAM/ 3xIDE drives, 3x SCSI drives
