Package installer does not work in RTP 6.1

Hi,

I have RTP 6.0 installed on a few machines and Package-installer works fine
to download from “WWW Repository”

I have installed RTP 6.1 on a network machine that was working with RTP 6.0.
The problem I have is that now the Package-installer does not work from
the WWW Repository. I always get the message that the repositoty in
not accessable.

Package installer is configured like it was in RTP 6.0 and Voyager works
fine!

Can somebody help me?

Jacques

Hello,

This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next patch.

Heu !?! Will we need the Package Installer to download the patch ?? ;o)

Regards,
Alain.

The problem is that the Package Installer you have does not
work properly through a proxy. If you download the
patch (or any other package you would like to install),
onto your local hard drive using Voyager and its proxy, then
you can use Package Installer to access the local file with
no problem. Just add a repository, and point it to a directory
on your local drive.
