Install with Soundblaster CD

I have a old computer I want to try QNX on.
I’ts a P133 with 80MB RAM and an old SoundBlaster 16 (ISA) soundcard.
My problem is I don’t have a IDE-CD, only a SoundBlaster (Panasonic) CD
connected to the soundcard (they used to do so in the old days).
Is there any support for this. Or is there a way to install from a DOS
boot disk with CD-drivers ?

Hi Zid,

Currently there is no support for this interface. Nor would I expect
it to be so :frowning:

What you can do is if you have an extra IDE CDROM, use that to install.
Or if you have the space on the HD install Win9x and install QNX from there
using the Panasonic CD.

Hope this helps.

Erick.

Hi Zid,

I have a SB16 Value ISA PnP im my system (it was previosly used in a
486), and I noticed in windows that there was an IDE interface in the
sound card. So, there were no problems in connecting it as an ATAPI
device in my secondary IDE channel. Note that sometimes CDROMs have
problems when not configured to work as slave.
I hope this information could be useful.
