Could someone tell me how to install QNX on Ext2FS under Linux, or urls to
the instruction/howto document?
Installation documents for alien fs/os which I found are all for win32, and
I couldn’t find them for Linux.
Tnx,

Last I asked the same question, Chris (cdm@qnx.com) said his face
turned red So I decided not to ask it again until he says anything.
Unfortunately, you don’t know the history It might be better
to search/browse the newsgroup archive before posting: http://qnx.iaware.org

Hi Kunihiro,
It was rumoured that someone from QSSL is working at this problem. I guess the problem is not
solved yet.
Best Regards,
Eduard.

I’ve just tried it out. It seems to work;
but it seems you still need a small native qnx4 filesystem somewhere.
Prepare ext2fs under Linux.
Copy qnxbase.qfs to extfs /qnx/boot/fs/
Boot off from RTP CDROM
Prepare /fs/hd0-ext2/qnx/boot/fs/root.qfs or whatever by dinit -R
Prepare a custom *.ifs with “-e” option added to diskboot
(see /boot/build/qnxbasedma.build comment)
Install the *.ifs
This is the hard part; you’ll need a small QNX4 filesystem somewhere,
or revert to DOS boot using config.sys.
Can’t get away with ext2fs-only configuration.
For testing, installing the *.ifs in qnx4 formatted floppy will work.
Boot off with the *.ifs. You may be asked for root and pkg filesystem
to use; select the ext2 one.
There’s a file /boot/sys/ipl-lilo which seems relevant but
couldn’t figure out how to use it.
