boot problems with ide controller

Hi,

I’m trying to install QNX, and when i boot(from cdrom or from the
downloadable 29 MB windows installer) i get the following error message

EIDE atapi detected(or something similar)
Unknown ATAPI interrupt type
Unknown ATAPI interrupt type
Internal request failure

Then the spinning |-sign continues to spin forever. I have a Celeron 300
with a Intel 82371AB/EB ide controller(so says windows). I have installed a
previous version of qnx once without problems on the same computer,
everything but the sound card worked, and the sound card just wasn’t
supported. Booting in safe mode or without DMA won’t help. Anyone knows what
could be the problem, and how to fix it?

Hi Joop,

How is your EIDE chain setup? Master/Slaves.
What happens if you disable some/all the enumerators?

Erick.
