TNT2 / Viper

I have a Viper 770 (used on a DELL) which works fine under Win 2000 and
Linux. However, running QNX RTP I only have access to the svga driver.

Looking at the graphic setup (using the configuration dialog box) I can see
in effect that the board works with the following configuration : SVGA 1024
768 256 without any 3D acceleration nor 32 bit support blablabla…

Now, if in a console (under root) I run crttrap xxx (I can’t remember the
right parameter I used) I get a core dump when the utility program test the
graphic board. I then have to rebbot the PC.

After all this, if I run the pci utility here is what I get on screen :
//----
Class = Display (VGA)
Vendor ID = 10deh, Nvidia Corporation
Device ID = 28h, Riva TNT2 (Pro)
PCI index = 0h
PCI Mem Address = f5000000h enabled
PCI Mem Address = fc000000h enabled
PCI Int Pin = INT A
Interrupt line = 11
--------//

For what I know, this mean this is a TNT2 chipset and that I should specify
somthing like :
io-graphics -g1024x768x32 -dldevg-tnt.so -I0 -d0x10DE,0x29 -R60

in the Advanced tab of the Graphic Configuration dialog box. However, if I
type in and apply this configuration, once QNX goes back to text mode
console it just freeze.

Well, this does not smell good. Do you have any idea or suggestion ? Many
thanks, Philippe

PS : I’m ready to test a new devg-tnt.so beta version.

Hi Philippe,

Could you please download the graphics information grabbing
script from:

http://www.geocities.com/erickmuis/files/hardware_scripts/nto/

Then extract the scripts and login as the root user. Once you
are logged in as the root user, please run the script:

…/grafxscript.rtp

Once the script has run, please send us the output.

Thanks

Erick.
