There was a manual on QED back in 6.0 days that is not available in 6.1. In
fact there are several good peices of documentation that now seem to be
missing.
I tried to copy (yadda/yadda)/qed_manual and (yadda/yadda)/qed_manual.toc to
the /usr/help/products directory. Both failed.
The copy of qed_manual.toc failed claiming that the destination file didn’t
exist. I’m not quite sure what that was about. I wouldn’t expect it to
exist until after the copy completed. But when I tried to copy the
qed_manual directory I got more useful information. It said that the
destination file system was read-only. So, . . .
Question 1: Why isn’t all of the documentation from 6.0 available in 6.1?
Question 2: How can I copy things to the /usr/help/products directory?

I think it was a packaging oversight – the qed manual should be there. I’ll
ask the build group.

This sounds like package-filesystem fun. I think you might have to touch
the destination file in order to spill it, and then you should be able to
copy the real file. However, someone else might have better advice for you.

The qed manual should reappear in the next release. In the meantime, you
can still find it on the QDN website:
