Neutrino 6_3_0 on VMware 4.5

Hi to all,

I’ve installed Neutrino 630_PE_SE (SP1) as guest OS with VMWARE
on WIN2K (SP4). I’m trying to connect my host OS with the guest
through one host-only WMnet.

I can ping from Win to Neu but not viceversa: from Neutrino the ping command “freezes”
and I have to stop it through ^C. After unblocking the system correctly
(I believe) reports the correct number of lost packets.

All your hints will be appreciated,
Gianluca

Host configuration:

  • Ethernet VMware Network Adapter VMnet1:
    MAC address. . . . . . . . . … : 00-50-56-C0-00-01
    IP. . . . . . . . . … . …: 192.168.133.1
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Gateway . . . . . . … : 192.168.133.5
    DNS server. . . . . . . . . . . .: None
    DHCP enabled . . . . . . . … : No

Guest configuration:
MAC address. . . . . . . . . … : 00:0c:29:e0:42:a3
IP. . . . . . . . . … . …: 192.168.133.5
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Gateway . . . . . . … : 192.168.133.1
DNS server. . . . . . . . . . . .: None
DHCP enabled . . . . . . . … : No

could be dns is not configure properly, try to use -n option with the ping in QNX.
ping -n 192.168.133.1

another possiblity is there are some firewalls on the win2k side.

Thank you Noc; in effects I had to shutdown ZoneAlarm to get ping working.

Thanks again!
