Connecting QNX 6 to Cable modem Provider

If you network card/driver is configured properly, it should just be a
matter of running dhcp.client on the interface (en0 usually). You can also
use the Photon configuration tool (called phlip) to do the network
configuration.

Note that some cable modems require a hostname (some weird thing like
cr-13495a) that is provided by the ISP. On my linux box I bring up the
interface with dhcpcd -h cr-?????? ... but I’m not quite sure how you do
this on QNX. Maybe Adam can enlighten us.

That’s easy enough, do a dhcp.client -i -h -d

The -d option is for debug information which could prove useful.

See? Isn’t it great? I COULD have just gone use dhcp.client but that
would have been WAY too much work. Much easier to let Adam enlighten us.
