How do you premanently change the hostname?

Currently my hostname is “node1”. I can change my hostname by typing
hostname and the new name. But if the system reboots the old hostname of
node1 is restored. How do you premanently change the hostname?

Thanks-in-Advance.

Hello,

If you are using Photon you can use ‘phlip’ Network configuration tool.

Thanks but I’m not using Photon, only 4.25 with TCP/IP.

You can change your hostname in the /etc/hosts file.

I always thought it was a command line argument to Socket, in your
/etc/netstart file.
