QNX is now working very well on my pc.
For the video modes, the 1024768 is the only resolution that works
correctly, but it works fine… i was very surprised because i know that my
screen (15" lcd) was designed for a specific resolution but it was 16001200
not 1024*768 !
The connection works quite good although i’ve got the same problem as others
users (described in my precedent post) and i couldn’t connect to the www
repository (packages.qnx.com)… is there another url to connect to it ?
maybe it will work…
I want also to know if there is a newsreader under photon, because i don’t
like newsreader in console mode (i installed tin).
I have still a problem with my soundcard (ESS Maestro PCI Audio), is there a
new driver which could recognize it ? what’s the name of this driver ?
I had had all kinds of problems with Mozilla. It has been very slow and
unreliable for me. I’ve had discussions with Joe Bishop. We determined
that my system was too slow and didn’t have enough memory. I have a 450 MHZ
PIII with 64 MB and there was nothing else running while I was trying to use
Mozilla (except necessary software, tcpip and Photon.)

I find Mozilla alost OK, but rather unreliable. When I first moved to
the latest beta, it would always crash reading my old mail box. I had to
trash that and start over. It also typically looses track of which new
mesages it has read and I have to just mark them busy. Also It check
mail OK , but does not seem to recheck news accounts except on start up.
Also it crashes when you try to edit mail/news settings.
I guess that I use it, even under Phindows inorder to keep MS
dependencies from growing…
