Bridget, if you can boot to CD, and gain access to your filesystem /fs/hd*
I’d like to see your /etc/system/package/packages file. Not the one used
when you boot up from the CD, the one on your hard drive, somewhere in
/fs/hd*/etc/system/package/packages.
Thanks! I do have an idea of how to fix your problem.

Hi Eduard,
I did look into Knowledge Base. But I still have this problem. My
hardware
is:
Intel 82371AB/EB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller
Crystal Sound Fusion™ CS4281 WDM Audio
Rage Mobility-M1 AGP (video)
64M memory
Partitions Map:
Partition Status Type Mbytes System
c: 1 PRI DOS 4001 FAT32
2 EXT DOS 3906
3 A Non-DOS 1679
If you need more information, please let me know.
BTW, I reinstalled QNX6.0 successfully. Then I tried QNX6.1 again, I
still
got the same result.
Thanks,
Bridget

Hi Bridget,
Have you look into Knowledge Base?
Does the > http://qdn.qnx.com/support/bok/solution.qnx?10353 > solve your
problem? If not, please write
here about your hardware: EIDE controller type, partitions map of hard
disk etc. Make sure you have
no slave device without master on any IDE channel.
Best regards,
Eduard.

Hi,
I installed QNX6.1 on my ComPower laptop it worked well. Last week I
made
new partition on my hard disk and installed windows 98 first, then
QNX4.25,
then QNX6.1. QNX4.25 worked well too. But I always got “Unable to
locate
devc-con” when I use QNX6.1.
I thought maybe there’s something conflict between my QNX4.25 and
QNX6.1. So
I uninstalled 4.25 and reinstall 6.1. But still got:
Hit ESC for .altboot…
Press the space br to input boot options…
Detected EIDE. Scanning for devices.
Unable to locate devc-con.
Why? Any ideas?
Thanks.
Bridget
