Due to company IT policy, I can’t repartition the main HD. The HD has
WinNT workstation with encrypted filesystem.
I like to install QNX on a laptop’s microdirve attach to pcmcia.
Have anyone done this before? Can it be done? Can I boot
to microdrive from the normal notebook bias?

If the BIOS machines supports booting from it I think it’s possible.
If the BIOS doesn’t support booting from PCMCIA, you could still
created a custom boot floppy that would boot from the PCMCIA
microdrive.
That being said, the installation won’t be easy, it look like a custom
install job to me. I think your bet is to install from Windows and
fornat the microdrive with FAT. Then next step would be to create
a custom boot floppy that would start the devp-pccard and start the
eide driver and mount the file system.
Futhermore I think microdriver are painfully slow (mainly if you want
to do developmenton it)
