Hello! I am in the process of picking out the perfect machine to run QNX
and want to custom order the motherboard, harddrive, CPU, and
everything. We found that QNX seems to run even slower on Pentium IV
than on Pentium III in some cases and thus I mistrust simply buying the
fastest hardware out there.
Can anyone tell me what the very best hardware configuration for a QNX
machine is? For the fastest possible performance!

That’s also true under Windows.
Can anyone tell me what the very best hardware configuration for a QNX

Dual Athlon MP will kick ass! Asus or Tyan motherboard I know to work.
If your system won’t benefit from SMP a single, Athlon with KT266A chipset
should give you some very decent performance.
Until 6.2 comes out getting the most of your HD is tricky.
As for video card I don’t know cause I don’t care 
I think
radeon based card will give you good performance under QNX6.
