Simple network with free copy RTP 6

Is it possible to build a simple network (2 or 3 nodes) with a free
non-commercial use copy of the QNX RTP 6? And also, is it possible to build
a network with a free non-commercial use copy of the QNX RTP 6 and QNX4?

Why shouldn’t it work? I think both support TCP/IP. So networking might be
no problem.

Or, what do you mean if you say “network”? Do you thin of a intranet with
file-sharing and maybe a domain controller?

In this case:
SMB/CIFS is available. And NFS should be, too. FTP as well. Therefore also
no problem.

I made the previous question because in the case of the QNX4 is
necessary one license for each node of the net. I thought that It would be
the same in the RTP6. I am speaking on a QNX LAN and not TCP/IP-based
network. I want to use a QNX LAN for message passing between processes of
transparent form.

No. You can set up as many QNXRTP nodes as you want if you use it for non-commercial. I’m unaware
of any limitations.

QNET of QNX4 and RTP is not compatible. You can communicate over TCP/IP.

Cheers,

Eduard.
