qnet problems

I have a problem with networking on my QNX 6.1.0 system.

When I attempt to access another system (have 3 running 6.1.0) I frequently
(but not always) get the following message

ls: Network dropped connection on reset (.)

a second attempt may or may not work. Frequently the attempts to access
another system via qnet will hang - or fail after a very
long time.

I have dual Intel ethernet cards in each system. I need MULTICASTING enable
on one of the two interfaces (but not the main interface en0)

ifconfig -a

lo0: flags=8009<UP,LOOPBACK,MULTICAST> mtu 32976
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
en0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
address: 00:03:47:81:ce:7a
inet 10.99.30.200 netmask 0xffff0000 broadcast 10.99.255.255
en1: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
address: 00:03:47:81:ce:7b
inet 198.103.205.42 netmask 0xfffffff0 broadcast 198.103.205.47

Does anyone have an idea what is going on? I have to resort to using ftp
bwtween the machines (It seems to always work).

This project is nearing an end and I would really like to clean this up…

This project is going into alpha testing soon. When is 6.2 going to be
released as an “official” release? I don’t think that we can go into testing
using a beta version!

On June 4th, 2002 if I may add.
