http://www.qnx.com/developer/docs/qnx_6.1_docs/sysadmin/docs/wip.html

Lets follow Rodney’s suggestion… To summarize: an Epson
Stylus color 800 printer is not recognized by 6.1. Manual preparation
of a printcap file, creating required /usr/spool/* directories, and
starting the lpd daemon results in queueing but not printing files.

What does the printcap file look like? Is devc-par started and
does it create the /dev/… files that the printcap file references
(:lp=…: entry or default, your lpr example implies it’s /dev/lpt1)?
Is the queue emptied after a while when you switch off and on the
printer? Do you start lpd from the command line or from winthin lprc?

Thank you for the translation Andrzej. I hope this gets the answer that
Jean-Louis requires. I could not help him at all in French.

From Jean Louis Wager :

The file /etc/printcap contain :
lpt1:
:lp=/dev/par1:
:sd=/usr/spool/output/lpt1:
I start devc-par and lpd from commande line
The command for print is :
lpr -Plpt1 test
The result of lprc is :
queuing enabled
printing enabled
4 entries in spool area
These entries are ok in /usr/spool/output/lpd
Thanks and regards in advance.
