i runned and installed qnxrtp.exe in win98. so some files have been
stored on ‘d:\program~1…’.
reboot my system and i selected DMA Disabled QNX boot.
When i select ‘Be Verbose’ by F6, some processes are progressed as the
followings.

cp : Skipping file /etc/skel/.profile
cp : (File resides on different device)
Creating /root
Generating helpviewer search database
Installing /dev/par port 3bc
But, the process has been hold at “Installing /dev/par port 3bc”.

What’s the problem?
You have problem with LPT (printer port). 3bc is very odd address… it’s address for printer
port, but it was used for Monochrome Display/Printer Adaptor in old good time. Did you have such
adapter in system? Can you change settings in BIOS for LPT1(,2) for more usual addresses? LPT1
->378 (hex), LPT2 ->278 (hex). Please turn off “P’n’P OS Installed” in BIOS and check out to avoid
conflicts on interrupt lines. LPT1 usually use IRQ7 line, LPT2 → IRQ5.
