samba 2.2.4 needs syslog in libsocket.so.2

I’ve installed samba 2.2.4 from the QNX “Contributed Software Repository”
but none of the executables will run for me. They all return:

unknown symbol: syslog

A scan of the executables for “syslog” shows it in a list after
libsocket.so.2. I’m running QNX RTP 6.1 and have a libsocket.so.2 dated Jun
22, 2001 and 73128 bytes, but there is no “syslog” function in this dll.

Do I have a bad or outdated libsocket.so.2, or was this software compiled
under RTP 6.2 and the library is different under 6.2?

I beleive this executable requires 6.2.
