Downloading qnxpub100.iso

Hello,

I have tried repeatedly to download qnxpub100.iso to burn a CD,
without success. I am using Netscape 4.74 from Windows 2000. Although I
get a huge file in a FAT32 disk, it isn’t the right one. If I run cksum
from QNX…

cksum qnxpub100.iso
4238353307 465036142

…when it should print out 4152636327 463241216. So the checksum
is wrong, and the file is slightly larger than it should; if I try to
burn it with Nero, the program complains that the format does not seem
to be correct, and the resulting CD-ROM cannot be read. If I try to
mount the file from QNX, mount hangs, and I have to reset the computer.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? As a matter of fact, I
am doing the same I did when I burned the QNX 6.2 CD, and it can be read
and installed without any problem.

Best regards,

Joaquin Ferruz

It is possible that netscape is doing something “funny” to the downloaded
file. So, I would try using something else like GetRight.

I find that Netscape4 was one of the worst browsers made for downloading
files in ascii when they should have been downloaded in binary.

May be, although it is about the first time it happens to me, and I
have downloaded with it many files including all the former QNX distributions.
I suppose that it stores the file as text, so it adds LFs here and there.

I finally got the right archive, by using the Navigator included in the
QNX 6.1 distribution; I burned the CD and was able to install some packages.

Thank you for your advice anyway,
