QNX 6.2.1 Booting Problem with Ethernet card plugged ...

Hi,

I have installed QNX6.2.1 onto a PC104 system. The system CAN boot (actually
it’s .altboot) WITHOUT the ethernet card, but when I plug in the PC104
Ethernet card, it hangs at displaying “Detected EIDE. Scanning for devices”.
When choosing “F6 Be verbose” as the boot option, it stops at displaying
“Trying to detect SCSI aha2”.

The system consists of:

PC104 cpuModule : 300MHz National Semiconductor Geode GX1 MMX enhanced
microprocessor with the math coprocessor; with six 8237 compatible DMA
channels. 128MB memory.

PC104 CM112HR SVGA utilityModule;

PC104 CM202 NE2000 Ethernet utilityModule : I/O address 340h; IRQ 15; Media
Type: Auto;
(All PC104 module are from RTDUSA Inc.)

Hard disc: Caviar 22100, WDAC22100-18H; 2GB.

CD-ROM: NEC CDR-1400A;

Floppy Drive.

I first doubted there might have some conflicts in I/O address or IRQ with
the Ethernet Card, so I changed different values for them, but didn’t work.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

What can of ethernet adaptor do you have. Maybe you don’t use the right
driver
