How to update from QNX RTP6.1 to 6.2.1?

Hi,

I want to update my QNX RTP6.1 to 6.2.1 so that I can install Monmentics
on it. But when I use the software-installer under photon to open the CD
repository (I inserted the CD labeled QNX Momentics 6.2.1 professional
edition in my CDROM), it was all blank.

When I use the CD to boot up, the only choice is to delete my original
QNX partition to install the 6.2.1. But I do NOT want to lost my
previous file system!!!

What can I do? Any suggestions? Should I update something in 6.1 so that
it can recognize new file formats?

Unfortunatly there is no update path from 6.1->6.2.x. You have to re-install.

Oh my god! I can not believe it! If I need to re-install it, I need to
re-install all the other applications and setup tones of things, :frowning:.

And, there are a lot of PCs need to be updated in my lab. :frowning: :frowning:
