DHCP and hostname

I have a system that DHCP connects to the internet. Each time it
connects it gets a different hostname.

Many of the QNX drivers look for config file names by using the name
from the current host name.

How can I store config files for this CPU when I don’t know what the
host name will be?

Are you talking about just the DNS PTR changes each time,
or hostname is actually overwritten each time?

(I’m not a DHCP guru)
