Slow HD-access

Hi,
I’ve got a problem with my harddisk under QNX 6.20.
I am using a slot CPU with an Intel i845 chipset. It has a 2.4GHz CPU.
During startup the BIOS tells me nice things about my harddrive,
UDMA-Mode, etc.
Unfortunately QNX does not recognize the HD-controller chip. Now it uses
the harddisk in safe mode or something like that. HD access is very slow
in this mode. Does anybody know how to fix this?

The latest version of the driver has support for DMA on the ICH4. I dont
know when this is scheduled to be released for NC.

I am running 6.20 SE and PE. But in order to get an update I have to
purchase version 6.21. Is there no other way to get the new drivers? Can I
use the drivers of the NC version?

We stay current by having a software support contract. That way we dont have to
purchase subsequent releases.
