Geode audio Driver

I am trying to install QNX Neutrino 6.2.1 NC onto National semiconductor’s
Geode GX1 development platform.
If I build the BIOS to include XpressAUDIO, which is their way of providing
legacy audio. Then QNX seems to see a Soundblaster16 sound card which is
correct.
If I then try to use the Media Player to play a WAV file, it opens the file
and says it is playing it. From this point however there is no sound, the
time does not increment and Media player effectively hangs.
If I build the BIOS without the XpressAUDIO, then QNX does not find a sound
card at all.
If I then try to start the Geode native mode driver with the latest BIOS the
following happens:
log in as root
type ‘io-audio -d geode &’ and press ENTER
tty shows '[1] 524319
type 'mount -Tio-audio /lib/dll/deva-ctrl-geode.so &
tty shows:
[2] 532511
[1] - Done io-audio -d geode
#mount: Can’t mount / (type io-audio)
mount: Possible reason: no such device or address
Press ENTER and tty shows:
[2] + Done (1) mount -Tio-audio /lib/dl
media player then shows no audio device found.
With earlier BIOS:
log in as root
type ‘io-audio -d geode &’ and press ENTER
tty shows '[1] 516127
type 'mount -Tio-audio /lib/dll/deva-ctrl-geode.so &
tty shows:
[2] 528398
[1] - Done io-audio -d geode
#mount: Can’t mount / (type io-audio)
mount: Possible reason: Invalid argument
Press ENTER and tty shows:
[2] + Done (1) mount -Tio-audio /lib/dl
media player then shows:
‘Phplay error’ when starting (Audio settings conflict with the
capabilities of the available audio hardware. Invalid entries have been
reset to their default values.)
Audio preferences in media player then show two devices:
Geode @ 40011000 – Device: 0
Geode @ 40011000 – Device: 1
with device 1 selected.
At this point media player is capable of playing the WAV files OK.
If I ‘exit’ the console before starting media player all is the same except
the ‘Phplay error’ dialog is not shown.
On restarting QNX and then starting media player I get the ‘Phplay error’
dialog and then the audio tab in the options dialog shows no sound card.

Am I missing something here?

What Platform and BIOS, including version, did QNX develop the graphics and
sound drivers on?

Any help gratefully received,

Kevin.
