ok. Look if I run Win stuff it is ok. So:
- run windows. Shutdown. Poweron . Everything is ok
2- run something different than Win. Shutdown. Power on. IT comes that
message.
In my machine this is the exact link of steps when this occurs.

PS: I have the latest version of BIOS and I think we must contact ASUS
for this. When I bought this motherboard I checked if it is Solaris
compatible and it is … So again PC world is so different from so many
aspects …

Hello all,
One of my computers is an PIII 550MHz with Asus P3B-F motherboard
128MBRAM
20GB HDD IBM
Matrox G400 32MBRAM
I have seen in time this problem: as long as I work in Windows and
shutdown the workstation everything is fine when I start up again the
machine. But when I am working Solaris, or QNXRTP and perform a
shutdown. Next time when I power on the machine the BIOS is showing up
telling me:
During last boot your CPU had an improper CPU speed.
Adjust your settings and … bla bla.
I have an PIII no overclocking. In windows is ok. In UNIX is not.
What could be wrong ?
stefan
I thing that there is a problem with the motherboard, bios or I don’t know what.
I also own a P3B-F with a celeron and I often have this message, whatever the os I run, w98, linux or qrtp.
