The following sequence would result in the kernal crashing
(register dump). Kernal reports software is dev-pccard.
Hardware: Dell inspiron + Dlink PCMCIA card
- Make sure you are in text mode
- Unplug power of laptop (run in power saving mode)
- Close the lid ( or press the button that detects lid is close)
- Wait a few seconds for some power saving feature to kick it ( i know
it kicks in when i heard the HD stop spinning)
- Open lid up
Then 1 or 2 seconds later the kernal crashs. Well probably
illegal operation inside pccard interrupt. Highly reproducable.
If somebody needs the numbers the kernal prints out just ask from them.

Yes, we are aware of this problem - something to do with APM.
