DVD Drive

Hi,
I am running RTP on a system with Samsung DVD-ROM drive (SD-608) connected
to Secondary Master IDE. While booting the RTP in the verbose mode it is
displaying the message ‘Mounting the CD file system as /fs/cd0 on /dev/cd0’.
After inserting the CD, (normal CD, not the DVD disc) the ‘ls -al /fs/cd0’
command displays an error ‘ls: No such device or address (/fs/cd0)’.

How can I access the files from a normal CD? not (DVD ROM disc)

I had the same problem,
I have solved it by disabling DMA on EIDE.
