Mounting floppy

I have just installed QNX RTP and find that I am unable to mount a floppy.
According to the documentation, the following should do the trick:

mount -t dos /dev/fd0 /fs/fd

When I do this, the command is apparently executed (i.e., there is no error
message), but df shows /dev/fd0 mounted on “(/fs/fd)”, in parentheses, and
ls /fs/fd results in an error message “No such device or address (/fs/fd)”.
Does anyone know what the trouble might be?

the same result when i try to mount a floppy on a 4gv. i can boot off
the floppy but i cant sucessfully read from it after mounting…

Hello Will

Hmm… I think you don’t have a floppy inside, when you perform df, try with
the floppy inside.

Marcin

Hello Vince,

What errors are you getting?

Um, yes, I do have a (valid, DOS-formatted) floppy inside. I can see from
the indicator light that the floppy drive is being accessed when I attempt the
mount, but perhaps QNX is not able to recognize the floppy disk drive for some
reason?
