Is there a “devb-” equivalent to QNX4’s Fsys.diskonchip
for Neutrino 2.0?

It is in patch A. Look for ‘Disk on chip driver’ under ‘drivers’ in the
package manager.

I am not sure that I have the type of package manager
to which your refer. (I am running QNX 4.25).
Is that an RTP facility to which you refer?
The documentation I have found on the qdn site
indicates that patchA should indeed be on the July 1999
CD, which I do have. I am still trying to verify
its presence and see where it has been put in the
CD directory tree…
I have also downloaded patch C, but not yet installed
it. Do you know if that driver is also found there?
I saw no mention of it in the notes perused…
Thank you for responding to me!

OK, I loaded all the patches, and also looked around
quite a bit. So far, no sign of a disk-on-chip
driver. Can you give me any other directions?
Thank you!

I finally decided ot look for the doc driver -
its in /usr/sbin called devb-doc. I don’t know why it isn’t in
/sbin with the other devb- drivers tho.
The package manager or something should be better about leaving a obvious list of where it puts things…
I need to figure out driver next week (hopefully someone will
pust detailed steps in the meantime).

Well, I found out that the driver had been PULLED because
of a major bug which caused the driver to scramble
the DOC in the event of a poorly-timed power-off. I
managed to convince M-systems to let me have the
defective driver to run some simple tests on a
completely non-critical system.
I never found it in the Neutrino 2.0 distribution
though.
