USB keyboard problem

Hi,

I want to use USB keybaord with german layout, but…

2 keys (USB key code 32 and 64) of the USB keyboards (german layout)

from CHERRY
Model: MY3000 USB 4A
Model: RS13000 COMBO

from QTRONIX
Model: SCORPIUS 980A

dont’t show any reaction: (#’) and (<>|)

This keys are language specific.
All of this keyboards do not deliver any country code.
Therefore an additional optional language specific parameter of the usb
keyboard driver should solve this problem?!

Thanks

I guess that when you are using USB keyboard now, it works in BIOS legacy
devices support mode. It means that (except unreliability of this mode) you
shouldn’t see any difference in Photon being served by one and the same
input driver (devi-hirun). If you have any problem with correct national
keyboard layout support, there are two options:

  1. BIOS doesn’t support it correctly - nothing to do, just wait correct
    driver that support USB keyboards.
  2. If it is not the first, you should modify (or take another) keyboard
layout file (see Use message of devi-hirun and description in online
documentation and the last but not least - some useful descriptions which
you can find in /usr/photon/keyboard directory)
