I would like to use the QNX RTP with the ATI Radeon VE graphics controller.
But I don’t know, if there is any support for that graphichs controller. It
would be also necessary to have video overlay support for the chip.

Well I am pretty sure the card has overlay capability but the only ATI card
we have used it on under 6.1 is the Rage chipset to do live Fullscreen TV
and PiP TV. From what I remember, the Radeon VE is the new low end version
of the high end Radeon chip – they dropped one of the graphics pipelines
and the entire translation & lighting engine to make it cheaper to
manufacture. So its still better than a Rage but it not really a Radeon.
We have used overlay support on the ATI Rage (and Rage Mobility) chipset,
Cyrix/MediaGX/Geode, i810/i815, and IGS 5000 (with some problems). I think
we may have also go it working on a VooDoo 3, but I won’t swear to it. Hope

Hi,
The Radeon VE is supported, including video overlay support in RTP 6.1.
The use the devg-radeon.so shared object with io-graphic.
