Hi all,
Is there a way to connect to yellow pages (yp) servers to establish user
context on a RTP system? Since we plan on having a large user base,
creating users everywhere is not a very exciting option… Anyone knows
what I’m talking about?
Thanks,

Hmm, someone from Nortel told me Nortel does not like/use NIS ![ ](/images/emoji/twitter/wink.png?v=9)
It should be possible to get NIS working but there will be enough pain to
get all libc functions dealing with users to make use of it…

No our libc is not yp aware.
You pretty much will have to mount (nfs, qnet, etc …).
