is there any such thing as we had in QNX 4 to detect memory useage ?
e.g. ‘sin free’

tnx a lot,
'pidin in ’
works nice –
but ls -ld /proc gives a number much larger than any memory I have
btw: what was the reason you changed all these wordings - ‘sin’ was so
nice and I got used to it over the years …

Actually, “ls -ld /proc” gives you a “to the byte” count of free memory.

On a system that doesn’t have any important information/data, go ahead and
say ‘yes’.
