crontab command in 6.1.0

The crontab command is misbehaving on my 6.1.0 machine.

crontab -l

crontab: mmapp: Invalid argument

???

This exact same setup worked on 6.0 and 6.0A and 6.0B (6.0C was broken
too but in a different way)

Thanks!

Dana

I also encounter this problem for crontab … I can’t even add a crontab

Okay, thanks.

Wen: you can still use cron, just edit the crontab files by hand, and
re-start cron after every edit.

It’s a bit silly, but it works!

The file you need is /var/spool/cron/crontabs/root (for root, use username
for regular users) (but I’ve never tested it as a user, only as root)
