Has anyone come up with a solution to sharing the hardware clock with a
Winblows system. Here’s what I mean:
Winblows seems to want to set the hardware clock to Local Time. I want my
hardware QNX clock set to UTC time. (I.E. The people who use the Winblows
system won’t allow me to change this.)
I do know how to change the interpretation of the time to/from local time
using the TZ variable. But what I really want to do something like ‘rtc hw
+/- X hours’. Or, ‘date +/- hours’. Does anyone know a way to do this
without writing my own utility?
I’ve been running four different OS’s on my laptop for some time.
Unfortunately, the three non-Microsoft systems all have to be set to handle a
local-time hardware clock. If you find another method, please let me know.
