multiport serial boards

Does anyone know of any companies selling intelligent multiport
serial boards that support QNX6.1? Most of the one’s I have come
across only support QNX4.

Thanks,
Carlton

Nope, we had the same problem. If you do find one that works with QNX 6,
let us know.

Jim

P.S. There are companies who will port their drivers to QNX 6 but expect
the cost to be $50,000 or more.

Connect Tech is supporting 6.1. They are a great company to work with.

Off the top of my head, look at ‘www.connecttech.com’ or
www.connect-tech.com’.

Oops, I meant that we had the same problem with synchronous serial boards.
Our spec is PCI multiport async/sync on one board. AFAIK Connect Tech
doesn’t have a board like this available much less with a QNX 6 driver. The
last communications I had from Connect Tech in August indicated they did not
support the above board.

Thanks for the link, though, Bill. I am glad to see that at least they are
supporting QNX 6 and maybe one day they will add a multiport synchronous
card to their offering.

On this one you could even run QNX on the serial controller, a 486DX on the board!
http://www.gmmresearch.com/4_port_b.asp
But I guess it will not work in QNX out of the box, neither onboard or with QNX
on the host.

We are currently developing 6.1 drivers for their PC/104 async/sync board.
It has a 80186 processor, so we cannot run QNX on the board itself.

Hi,

I know that Sealevel has some multiport PCI serial cards that work under 6.1.
I’m not sure if they will meet all your needs but it is something to look into.
